MADISON OLIVIA performs single “Downtown Now” as FLINT celebrates reopening of bricks on Saginaw Street

MADISON OLIVIA performs single “Downtown Now” as FLINT celebrates reopening of bricks on Saginaw Street.

The city of Flint, along with the Michigan Department of Transportation, replaced nearly a half mile of bricks on Saginaw Street from Court Street to the Flint River.

City officials are thanking the nearby businesses who kept the downtown area thriving during the reconstruction. Mayor Neeley teased local residents to get “Downtown Now” as the construction project has completed and invited Madison Olivia to help communicate that message to residents.

“These businesses have stuck around and supported our community with all the unique wonderful offerings that they have. It’s time to get back out here and what’s so much fun is you can feel the energy up and down the street because people are so ready to get back down here,” said Andy Younger, executive director of Flint & Genesee Chamber.
